We invite you to an overnight trek to Alang and Madan on 14 th and 15th of January 2012 , starting on 13th Night.

Trivia
Height : Alang- 4500ft; Madan- 4900 ft above msl
Grade : Difficult (Technical)
Base Village : Ambewadi
As Britishers destroyed the stairs to these forts, scaling theses forts have become the biggest challenge since then. Alang enjoys a 70 ft straight rock patch graded the most difficult as compared to the other forts while Madan bears a 40 ft rock patch comparatively easier.
Besides the thrill in ascending the forts they also provide mesmerizing view of the surrounding area. Back waters of the Bhandardara Dam, Ghatghar Dam, Ratnagad, Kulang, Kalsubai, Aunda patta Bitangad, Ajoba.... are few to mention.

The itinerary for the trek is as given below.

Meeting Point : Catch the last Kasara Local on 13th January 2012
Day 1

05.00am : Reach Ambewadi
06.00am : Breakfast
06.30am : Introduction, Do's and Donts, Start the trek
09.30am : Reach the col between Alang and Madan
10.30am : Reach the rock patch of Madan Gad
12.30am : Ascend, Explore and start Descending
01.30pm : Lunch Break
03.00pm : Start Ascending Alang Fort
06.00pm : Reach the cave, dinner and retire for the day
Day 2
06.30am : Good Morning, Break Fast
07.30am : Explore Alang
09.30am : Start Descending
01.30pm : Ambewadi, Lunch
03.30pm : Proceed to Kasara
06.30pm : Kasara
09.30pm : Mumbai Tentatively
